Hello!

This is Anna and I am writing our first blog for Artisianna.  Did you know that 40% of people experience interrupted activities due to gut issues?  I am part of that 40% - gut issues have caused me to feel isolated from activities and concerned with being interrupted at very important activities - like my children’s weddings.  

Gut issues for me show up in different ways - extreme pain, discomfort, bowel changes, on and on.  I’ve been searching for the silver bullet!  Tried low fodmap, elimination diets, holistic treatments, gluten-free, etc.  It is a lot of work and takes consistency to get answers - unfortunately, I slack off because I want to enjoy myself like everyone else at the events (enjoyment is temporary until the discomfort settles in!)

There is a lot of research being done in the area of gut microbiome.  Here are a few key points that have been documented.

White sugar is a definite trigger for me and so is highly processed food.  I am expanding the variety of plants I eat every day - plants include veggies, fruit, nuts, seeds.  The ZOE program suggests eating 30 different plants a week - the diversification helps balance gut microbiome. 

Artisianna Fruit Truffles do not contain added sugar, are not highly processed and are wholly made with plants!  Right in line with my eating plan to help get to a healthy gut and no longer have to worry about experiencing gut issues that remove me from activities.
